Microsoft Msn mail data file cannot be accessed' or 'the operation failed, an object could not be found'. The error message occurs when your email profile in Microsoft Msn is configured incorrectly (incorrect Microsoft Msn setup in other words). Leave the default option (None) selected beside Use the following type of encrypted connection.Adjust the server timeout to the maximum level. Check the box Leave a copy of messages on the server if you want your webmail account to retain a copy of email messages. If you do not check this option, all your emails will be downloaded to Microsoft Msn and your webmail account will have nothing. When done, click the OK button. You will return to the Internet E-mail Settings window.Click the Test Account Settings button to test your new email profile settings. If all goes well, you will see a congratulations message. Click the Finish button to exit the window and enter Msn. If the test returns an error message, look into it and launch troubleshooting. Check back your account settings and correct them if required. If you are not sure of the details, contact your internet service provider and take all the required information.

Once the correct email account is set up, configure it as the default email profile. To do so, go back to the Mail Setup-Msn window (check the first step). Click the button next to Always use this profile and select Msn from the drop-down arrow below. Click the Apply button and then OK to apply the changes and exit the window. Close and reopen Msn. When done, either send or receive emails or use Msn as desired.Additional Tips: The error may also be related to the Offline Address Book or a Msn profile which is not a domain member.
